PHOENIX, Arizona – CBRE announced the leasing of 37,386 square feet of office space at Hayden Ferry Lakeside in Tempe, Ariz. to Viking, the award-winning small ship cruise line, for its new reservations center. Viking plans to hire as many as 350 reservations staff for the new Tempe office.

Bryan Taute and Charlie von Arentschildt with CBRE’s Phoenix office represented the landlord, Cousins Properties. Mike Gordon with Cresa and John Sabourin with Tenant Guardian represented Viking.

Located at 60. E. Rio Salado Pkwy, the asset sits within Hayden Ferry Lakeside, the iconic 43-acre, master-planned mixed-use development on the south shore of Tempe Town Lake. At the close of Q2, Tempe led metro Phoenix in leasing activity, according to CBRE research. Tempe recorded the lowest office vacancy in the metro at 4.8 percent and Class A vacancy at 2.06 percent.

Current tenants of Hayden Ferry Lakeside include Amazon, Microsoft, Silicon Valley Bank, Ziprecruiter and Symantec.
