SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA – Berkadia has announced the addition of Managing Director Brent Wessel to its mortgage banking platform. He will be joining a robust team in Scottsdale, Arizona. Wessel will report to Senior Managing Director Scott Holland.

“We’re thrilled to add Brent and his vast real estate lending experience to our southwest mortgage banking team,” said Holland. “Brent’s client relationships are a great fit with our robust lending resources, and both are sure to benefit from Berkadia’s past successes and aid in our continued growth.”

Wessel brings over 25 years of experience in the commercial real estate industry and has been involved in over $22 billion in transactions including multi-market portfolios, single assets of class A, B and C properties for both securitization and portfolio lending.

Wessel has served at a senior level management and origination position at Cantor Fitzgerald, SunTrust Bank, Red Capital Group and GE Capital Real Estate.

Wessel received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Redlands and his Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Riverside. Wessel is involved in the Mortgage Banker’s Association and the Urban Land Institute.
