TUCSON, ARIZONA – Continuing to bolster leadership roles in key departments, GLHN Architects & Engineers, Inc., is pleased to announce the promotion of Ye Zhang, PE, to Director of Electrical Engineering.

GLHN also announced that Ted Moeller, PE, will transition to a new role as Vice President/Chief Electrical Engineer, continuing his key client relationships and key project leadership with the Electrical Engineering Department.

“Ye has continued to show clear leadership of our Electrical Engineering Department, and will be continuing to do so at a higher level,” said GLHN CEO Rob Lamb. “Ye will continue in many of her responsibilities as Department Manager, while delegating some to other members of her staff.”

GLHN is an employee-owned firm with more than 50 years of expertise in healthcare and higher education projects. The promotions are the result of a new dedication to design and the firm’s commitment to improving its communities by elevating the built environment.

Zhang, who has been with GLHN for 3 years, will be responsible for setting goals for the team, hiring, mentoring, engineering and project management for key clients and projects, and business development.

A native of Beijing, China, Zhang earned a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She is a member of the Arizona Builders Alliance (ABA) and Women in Healthcare.

Her philanthropy includes work with the Jane Goodall Institute and the Sojourner Center. Away from the office Zhang enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Moeller, who has been with GLHN for 26 years, will assist Zhang in the development of career and the success of the Electrical Engineering Department. He will continue as a member of the GLHN ESOP Plan Committee, GLHN ESOP Board of Trustees and GLHN Board of Directors.

A native of Columbus, Ohio, Moeller earned a bachelor degree in electrical engineering from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Arizona.

Moeller serves as an adjunct professor, teaching power engineering at UA’s Department of Civil and Architectural Engineering and Mechanics.

GLHN excels at medical and laboratory facilities, utility master planning, design of central plants and underground utility distribution systems, complex multi-phased renovation projects, fleet vehicle maintenance facilities, and enhanced systems commissioning.
