TUCSON ARIZONA, September 30, 2022 -- YWCA CDBG-CV Small Business Continuity Grant Program (formerly, We Are One • Somos Uno), will distribute a one-time grant of up to $50,000 to qualifying applicants. Eligible applicants are local small businesses that are owned and operated within the Rio Nuevo district, that are experiencing economic hardship due to the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Please note that on a case-by-case bases YWCA may award up to $100,000 to businesses that identify a need greater than $50,000.

All CDBG-CV activities funded through YWCA must prevent, prepare for, or respond to COVID-19.

ELIGIBLE BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be located within the Rio Nuevo District
• Business owned and operated by US Citizen or US legal resident
• Business with 1 to 100 employees
• Business must be a for-profit entity (sole proprietorship, partnership, corporations, or LLC)
• Business must provide goods or services to multiple clients or customers in Rio Nuevo District of Tucson, Arizona
• Business must be able to clearly document COVID-19 related hardships
• Add, or identify an Unmet Need
• Business must be in good standing with Rio Nuevo District or Arizona Corporation Commission
• Business must be current on all 2020 State and Federal taxes
• Have active and valid State and local licenses/registrations (including permits and professional licenses), if applicable.
• Not be a party to litigation involving the State of Arizona or the town they operate in.
• Businesses with a DUNS # and registered with SAM.Gov
• Business should have appropriate liability insurance

Funds are limited and will be distributed on a first-come-first-serve basis. Preference will be given to small businesses whose owners are women, veterans, disabled, and members of other underrepresented groups. Preference will also be given to applicants of the greatest need. The funding amount will be determined by looking at the small business's reported loss in Gross sales and/or revenue between a period of time in 2019 as compared to 2020. Business owners shall demonstrate job retention and recordkeeping.
