TUCSON, AZ (September 6, 2024)—Rita Ranch and Vail area residents have been hoping for a Home Depot in this area since 2006. After many years in the making, the Home Depot is now open at Houghton Town Center.

The 136,000-square-foot store at 10072 E Old Vail Road is now open. It features specialty showrooms, a tool rental center, and a 30,000-square-foot garden center.

The new store is beautiful and is a welcome addition to southeast Tucson as the first Big Box home improvement store to serve the trade area. The new Home Depot will be another anchor tenant at Houghton Town Center, joining Walmart, TJ Maxx, Ross Dress for Less, Discount Tire, and Petco.

The $40 million construction project did receive $2.6 million in sales-tax incentives from the city over five years. According to the City Manager, the store is expected to generate direct revenues of $8.6 million for the city and more than $21 million for other taxing districts.

Home Depot is open Monday – Saturday from 6AM – 10PM and Sunday from 7AM – 8PM.

Jobseekers are encouraged to learn more and apply online at  careers.homedepot.com.
