PIMA COUNTY, (March 28, 2025) -- Pima County’s Public Defense Services, in cooperation with Pima County Superior Court and Adult Probation, is offering a free clinic for people seeking legal help with felony criminal matters.
The Pathway to Progress Legal Clinic will be held April 10 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., providing various legal services for those with felony criminal matters in Pima County Superior Court.
Services that clients have the potential to access include:
- Sealing a felony criminal record
- Restoring civil rights or setting aside a felony conviction
- Restoring gun rights
- Waiving or reducing outstanding fines and fees
- Designating an undesignated Class 6 conviction as a misdemeanor
- Expunging marijuana-related felony convictions
- Resolving and quashing warrants for having absconded (failure to report or participate) from Pima County Probation on a felony matter
“Access to legal assistance should never be out of reach and no one should be left to navigate the legal system alone,” said Dean Brault, the director of Public Defense Services. “We aim to remove as many roadblocks as possible through the legal process so people can move forward with opportunities to work toward a better future.”
Pre-screening for eligibility is strongly encouraged and should be done as soon as possible. Individuals who complete the pre-screening form at pima.gov/PathwayToProgress will receive a response regarding eligibility for the April 10 clinic or be assessed for and referred to other legal services and community resources if available.
The clinic will start at the Public Defense Services offices at 33 N. Stone Ave., 10th floor, with clients referred to potential hearings at Superior Court, 110 W. Congress St. Walk-in clients are not guaranteed assistance or eligibility.
