MARANA, ARIZONA – Amazon has assembled 68 acres in Marana in two separate transactions. Prestwick Properties, LLC of Tucson (Douglas Kennedy, manager) sold approximately 19 acres for $4.8 million, represented by Bob Solfisburg of JBS Realty. Shetland Properties Co., LLC of Tucson (Jason Tankersley, CEO) sold 46 acres for $7.1 million represented by Hank Amos of Tucson Realty & Trust.
Amazon was represented by Steve Cohen of Cushman & Wakefield | Picor in both transactions to complete the assemblage.
A delivery station being planned for the vacant land will be part of Silverbell Gateway Distribution Center, located at the northeast corner of Ina and Silverbell Roads in Marana.
Because zoning was already in place for the site, the Marana's town council was not required to take action on the proposal. Known as the Silverbell Gateway Distribution Center, the 68-acre site, can accommodate up to a 220,822-square-foot building, parking for 484 employee vehicles, and more than 1,200 spaces for delivery vans and a building height of 45 feet.
As long as developers meet the requirements set by Marana regarding heights and setbacks, the project is a go.
