MARANA, AZ (June 13, 2024)—Barro’s Pizza in Marana is embarking on an exciting journey, even just across the street. By the end of 2024 or early 2025, it will move from 5884 W Arizona Pavilions Drive to the former Boston’s Pizza Restaurant & Sports Bar at 5825 W Arizona Pavilions Drive. This new location promises to bring our community a fresh and improved dining experience.

Bruce Barro, the owner of Barro’s Pizza, has shown his unwavering commitment to our community. He has invested in the future of our town, purchasing assets for $2.1 million ($326 PSF) to provide the best for our valued customers.

Boston’s closed in the Fall of 2023 and, by January, had caught Barro's attention as a perfect relocation for Barro’s Pizza, across the street that has been in Marana for the past seven years.

Barro told us the new location would be remodeled to include Barro’s special pizza-making ovens. That is estimated to take six months, so the new location's opening time is by the end of the year or the first of the new year.

In the meantime, Barro’s Pizza across the street at Cortaro & Arizona Pavilions will remain open for business.

The Barro’s Pizza family recipe dates back to Grandma Angelina Barro's home in Sarconi, Italy. Her recipes were passed down through the generations and are still used in the family business today. Barro’s Pizza has over 48 locations across Arizona and Texas, and it is owned by the four siblings today. It has thousands of loyal customers who can’t get enough of the secret family recipe.

Barro’s Pizza’s second location in Tucson is at 410 N Wilmot Road.

Rick Volk of VOLK Company in Tucson represented the seller, Alberta-based Tucson Investment Properties Partnership, and James DeCremer II with Avison Young Real Estate in Phoenix represented  Barro’s Pizza.

For more information on the transaction, Volk can be reached at 520.326.3200 and DeCremer at 480.423.7900.
