Scottsdale, AZ – (August 2, 2024) – Berkadia announced today the addition of Senior Director Vin Basa who will be based out of Scottsdale, Arizona working alongside Senior Managing Director Scott Holland. Basa will report to SVP - Co-head of Mortgage Banking & Production Operations Cole Schutjer. Vin joined Berkadia on July 8.
Vin brings 11 years of expertise in commercial real estate financing. He excels in providing comprehensive debt and equity solutions to developers and owners across the U.S., with a specialization in Single-family Rental (SFR) & Build-to-Rent (BTR) and multifamily properties, particularly in construction and bridge loans.
"Vin brings an expertise to our team that is exciting and beneficial,” said Holland. “His experience in the Multifamily, BTR, and SFR space will be highly valuable when paired with Berkadia’s industry leading GSE lending capabilities. Additionally, his successes in the construction and bridge space will continue to be actively utilized within our shared client networks as the banks remain sidelined.”
Before joining Berkadia, Vin was a Senior Vice President at Tower Capital, where he led build-to-rent construction and multifamily bridge capital projects in the southwestern U.S., closing over $1.2 billion in financing transactions, including a record-breaking loan over $100 million.
Vin holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute.
