PHOENIX, Arizona – Charles Schwab will be opening at the new marquee PRIMEGATE component of the 25-acre award-winning Chandler Viridian mixed-use project, which also features class-A offices & luxury residential & hospitality. The project is at the NWC of the Loops 101 & 202 freeways interchange –offering direct freeway visibility and access– and the entrance to the Chandler Fashion Center super-regional luxury mall. It is the gateway to Chandler’s highly regarded Price employment corridor, as well.
The new Charles Schwab building sits directly on the hard corner of PRIMEGATE, providing it with tremendous exposure.
WINLEE Development, the commercial real estate division of Phoenix based investment firm Winfield Lee Investments, is developing the 7,400 sf Charles Schwab location for the iconic wealth management & financial services firm. Charles Schwab & Co. has more than $3.72 trillion in assets under management, has a market cap of over $50 billion, is a Fortune 500 company, is one of the Top 50 of the World’s Most Admired Companies, and is recognized as one of Arizona’s Most Admired companies.
“We are privileged to be selected by a company of Charles Schwab’s stature to develop such a high-profile location for them. Schwab’s long-term commitment to our development underscores the operationally essential nature of PRIMEGATE’s real estate. This premier project provides an exceptional platform to effectively & conveniently tap Chandler’s unrivaled growth well into the future. As a relocation and expansion of existing operations, it speaks volumes about Schwab’s understanding of the quality and depth of the Chandler demographic,” said WINLEE’s President, Peter Nelson.
“We appreciate Charles Schwab’s recommitment and investment in Chandler and are thrilled to see the Viridian development come to fruition,” said Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. “This completely transformed area is a premier location that offers excellent accessibility and amenities. We wish Charles Schwab continued success in Chandler and look forward to celebrating their grand opening later this year.”
PRIMEGATE is the crowning element of the $250,000,000 Chandler Viridian, which won “Best Mixed-Use Project of the Year” Award from the NAIOP and was master-planned by Hines. Located at the entrance of Chandler Fashion Center, other notable neighboring users are Nordstrom, Apple, Microsoft, Lululemon, Harkins Fashion 20 Theatres, Crayola Experience, as well as Super Target & Costco, to name just a few.
The project is being developed by WINLEE Development (a division of Phoenix-based Winfield Lee Investments, Peter Nelson and Gary Emery, principals).
