New Circle K model with fueling stations
SAHUARITA, ARIZONA (May 8, 2025) – In a transaction recorded April 10, 2025, Safeway sold a 1.17-acre commercial pad at the southeast corner of Duval Mine Road and La Cañada Drive in Sahuarita to Circle K Stores Inc. for $800,000. The site sits directly adjacent to Safeway’s existing store at 1305 W. Duval Mine Road and is slated for the development of a new Circle K convenience store and fueling station.
The property is part of the Palms Plaza retail development, a well-trafficked center that has attracted interest from national and regional tenants in recent years. The pad has been actively marketed for future retail use, and while broker details for the sale have not been publicly disclosed, previous listings on platforms like LoopNet and Crexi suggest ongoing interest from commercial developers.
This acquisition supports Circle K’s continued growth strategy across Southern Arizona. To expand its convenience and fuel service footprint, Circle K targets high-visibility, high-traffic locations. The new Sahuarita location will enhance service to both the local community and commuters along the I-19 corridor, including nearby Green Valley.
