Rancho Sahuarita

SAHUARITA, AZ (March 10, 2026) -- DR Horton Inc. acquired 27 single-family residential lots in the Entrada Del Toro subdivision within Rancho Sahuarita for $2,520,375, or about $93,347 per lot. The 3.35-acre residential land sale closed Feb. 24, 2026, and equates to roughly $753,001 per acre, or $17.29 per square foot.

The lots are identified as Lots 742-750, 759-764, 806, and 815-825 in Entrada Del Toro, the latest subdivision within the Rancho Sahuarita master-planned community in Sahuarita. The property is zoned under Sahuarita’s specific plan.

The purchase comes as Rancho Sahuarita celebrates its 25th anniversary, adding another milestone to one of Southern Arizona’s best-known and most active master-planned communities.

This marks DR Horton’s third acquisition in Entrada Del Toro. The builder had already purchased 48 lots in the subdivision before this latest closing, further expanding its position in one of the most active homebuilding sections of Rancho Sahuarita. Other builders already active in Entrada Del Toro include KB Home, Lennar, Meritage Homes, Richmond, and Century Homes, underscoring the subdivision’s role as a competitive residential product mix within the broader community.

Rancho Sahuarita continues to be one of Southern Arizona’s most active master-planned communities, with multiple national builders maintaining a presence across its neighborhoods. This latest DR Horton purchase signals continued confidence in lot demand and future homebuilding activity in Sahuarita, where production builders remain focused on delivering new inventory to the South submarket. The transaction also reflects the ongoing pace of finished-lot absorption in established MPCs, where builders often acquire inventory in phases as development progresses.

The seller was RSMC VIII LLC, c/o Rancho Sahuarita, Jeremy Sharpe, president. Sam Mills, the division Vice President of land for DR Horton, handled the purchase for the buyer.
