Q&A
- How did your experience as a broker assistant prepare you for your current role as an industrial broker?
It was a great way to learn a new-to-me industry under the guidance of one of the best in the business (looking at you, Jesse Blum). It allowed me to gain the necessary skills, insights and familiarity before making the leap into being on my own. I think it’s made me a more capable, more responsible and better equipped broker.
2. What inspired you to focus on industrial real estate rather than other sectors like office, multifamily, or retail?
Industrial is all I know! I’ve specialized in this product-type for nearly six years and love it. One of the most interesting things about industrial is the wide variety of fascinating businesses that are thriving in Tucson – from dietary supplement and cosmetics manufacturing to EV technologies – I wouldn’t know about them unless I helped them with their real estate needs.
3. How has your previous experience at the Oro Valley Chamber of Commerce influenced your approach to commercial real estate?
Oh gosh, great question. I love businesses. I love people who start them, I love watching them grow and I love supporting them. At the Chamber, we got to celebrate (for the most part) once their doors were open, then promoted and aided them. With real estate, we get to be a part of the ‘before the doors open’ process. It’s fulfilling to be a different resource for business owners – we use our expertise to help solve what can sometimes be a challenging business decision. When our local business thrives, our local community thrives and I can’t think of a better way to support the place we all call home.
