TUCSON, AZ – After 73 years the Humane Society of Southern Arizona (HSSA) is relocating to a new address, and the public is invited to visit our new campus.  Visit HSSA’s new campus at 635 W. Roger Rd. on Saturday, April 7th from 11am to 3pm for site tours, refreshments, and half-off adoption fees.

The new location features jumbo dog runs, several large off-leash play yards, a designated dog walking path, indoor/screened outdoor cat habitats, and includes innovative and green building practices, including solar covered parking, the use of existing native plant life in landscaping, and rainwater harvesting.

“We don’t receive any government funding or assistance from national organizations. We are completely locally funded by our community, and they have been extremely generous in helping us raise the funds for this new campus. It is a pleasure to be a part of this momentous occasion for the homeless pets in Southern Arizona,” says Diana Cannon, Chief Development Officer.

HSSA’s last day at 3450 N. Kelvin Blvd. will be Tuesday, March 27th. HSSA will remain closed to move Wednesday, March 28th through Sunday, April 1st. During this time PAWSH Park Place, PAWSH La Encantada, and HSSA Thrift Store will still be open regular hours for supplies and adoptions. These locations are unable to intake any animals. If you need immediate assistance please contact your local animal services. On Monday, April 2nd the doors opened at 635 W. Roger Rd. just west of Oracle.

HSSA has helped more than one million pets in their 73 years, and thanks to the overwhelming support of the community, they will be able to save the next million. Learn more about their big move and the new building at www.hssaz.org/building
