GILBERT, ARIZONA – Hunter Contracting Co. proudly announces that it has elevated two Senior Project Managers – Adam Nash Sedgeman, P.E., and Ian Shantz – to the position of Project Sponsor.

Sedgeman, a Hunter employee for over two years, will manage all Tucson and Southern Arizona operations. In addition, he will support Hunter teams across the board, monitoring labor and equipment leads. Sedgeman will also select future pursuits that fit Hunter’s project teams. He possesses 13 years of construction industry experience, having previously worked at FRP Construction and KE&G Construction.

Shantz, who has been with Hunter for three years, will direct the firm’s Phoenix Transportation, Bridges and Structures, and Parks and Recreation construction. Shantz possesses more than 20 years of construction industry experience. He previously worked at Ames Construction, Pulice Construction, and Kiewit.

“Adam and Ian are a great addition to our leadership team,” said Hunter President Chuck English. “Both have the experience and knowledge to provide cost-effective solutions to construction challenges and bring tremendous value to our customers.”

A native of Minnesota, Sedgeman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in construction engineering from North Dakota State University and a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Arizona. He holds a P.E. license with the state of Arizona.

Sedgeman is a member of the Alumni Industry Council at the University of Arizona. Away from the office, he enjoys collecting vinyl records and coins and spending time with his family.
