Mary Nollenberger, SVN, Desert Commercial Advisors, wins Outstanding Women in Business Award

Phoenix, AZ – Mary Nollenberger, Director of Retail Sales & Leasing for SVN, Desert Commercial Advisors has been at the top of her game. Most notably so for her recent closings of some major retail developments around the valley and the Phoenix Business Journal panel of judges just so happen to agree. Nollenberger was recently awarded, naming her one of only thirty local businesswomen to receive the honor of ‘Most Outstanding Women in Business’.

The award banquet was held at the Westin Kierland Resort in Scottsdale on April 4, 2016.  The banquet room was full with mainly women, family and guests to honor all the recipients.  As each recipient was acknowledged at the podium like an Oscar Award-winning ceremony, the recipients were asked to draw a single envelope which had one question enclosed.  Nollenberger was given the question, “What qualities do you have that would most make you want to be your friend?”  The crowded immediately gasped and the small chatter could be heard in the background wondering what answer she would give.  Nollenberger smiled and responded, “Well, I just received a little wooden plaque from my children for my birthday….and it read “If I didn’t have you as my mother, I would choose you as my friend.”  As you can imagine, the crowd once again sighed with such warmth and the “Aaawhhhh’s” that frequently occur when something nice has been said.  One of her daughter’s, Nicole Ridberg was in the audience looking on with pride.

It was truly a special for moment for Nollenberger to stand before the crowd. “I am so grateful today on so many levels and be in the company of these amazing women in this room.”  These women stood to represent a numerous of different businesses and organizations that were acknowledged for being a woman in business who have trail-blazed the valley’s business community, as a mentor and visionary.  All of these women were deserving and thankful.

Mary also showed a great respect for her business partner, Rommie Mojahed who has been working with her for over 11 years in the industry.  If she referred to him as the “Most incredible business partner on the face of this earth” and she has been recognized as an “Outstanding Women in Business,” then you can only imagine just how powerful their Retail team really is.
