Phoenix, AZ –  Sperry Commercial-Insignia CRE advisor Zach Sherman represented the buyer in the autoshop/collision center property sale in Gilbert, AZ for $1.72 million ($148 PSF).

The former Service King is located at 1572 W Harvard Avenue and has recently sold to Gerard Marzocchi of Marzocchi Imports to expand his business. The building is approximately 11,600- square-feet and is made up of flex and industrial space. The seller and property owner, Donna Herr with Sterling Collision, is from Richardson, Texas.

The vacant property was in escrow for only three months and will be used an owner/user investment property. Zach Sherman with Sperry-Insignia CRE stated, “I am honored to have represented Gerard in this purchase. He is an American business owner and investor, and instead of shutting down during COVID and laying off employees, Marzocchi instead decided to expand into a larger facility.” He went from 3,000 square feet to approximately 11,600-square-feet at his new Gilbert location. Additionally, this purchase adds to his commercial real estate investment portfolio.

Just recently the new owner received news that he tested positive for COVID so his CRE advisor, Zach Sherman, did something that very few advisors do. Sherman joined the Marzocchi family and has been helping on the weekends to get their new place ready to open. “Helping one person might not change the world, but it might change the world for one person,” said Sherman. He continued to state, “Gerard built his company on nothing but sacrifice and grit. I learned a lot from him, and it is people like him that are the backbone of this great country.”
