Tempo by Hilton

TUCSON, ARIZONA (June 11, 2026) — Tucson’s emerging Uptown district recently welcomed representatives from the Consulado de México en Tucson for a tour of Tempo by Hilton Tucson Uptown, offering a look at one of the key hospitality components taking shape within the redevelopment of the former Foothills Mall site.

The visit focused on conversation, collaboration, and shared ideas for Tucson’s future, with discussions centered on partnership, culture, hospitality, and Uptown's role as a growing community destination.

Tempo by Hilton Tucson Uptown is part of Bourn Companies’ larger Uptown redevelopment, a major mixed-use project planned for the former Foothills Mall property. The five-story hotel is expected to include 144 guestrooms and will add a contemporary hospitality component to a district envisioned with residential, retail, dining, office, entertainment, and public gathering spaces.

Project partners have described the hotel as an important milestone for Uptown and a complement to the broader effort to create a more active, connected destination on Tucson’s northwest side.

The Consulate visit highlighted the growing importance of cross-border relationships in Tucson’s economic and cultural life. As the region continues to strengthen connections with Mexico, hospitality, tourism, business travel, cultural exchange, and community partnerships remain important parts of Southern Arizona’s growth story.

“We were honored to welcome the Consulado de México en Tucson for a tour of Tempo by Hilton Uptown and Uptown,” the project team shared. “It was inspiring to share the vision for Uptown and exchange ideas around partnership, culture, hospitality, and the exciting future being built here in Tucson.”

Tempo by Hilton Tucson Uptown reached its topping-out milestone earlier this year, marking completion of the building’s vertical structure. The hotel is expected to open in 2027.
