Fortune 1000 Company Leases approximately 50% of New Industrial Building for R&D Operation
Phoenix, Arizona – MTD Products, an Ohio-based manufacturer of outdoor power equipment, has leased approximately 50,000-square-feet of space at Chandler Corporate Industrial Center (CCIC) at 370 N. Juniper Dr., which is at the northwest corner of McClintock Dr. and Chandler Blvd.
The family-owned company signed a 10-year lease for space in the 100,018-square-foot new building. There will be approximately 120 employees to start and operating out of this facility, which includes 70 engineers as well as multiple employees in higher-level administration positions. Plans call for MTD to take occupancy of the space at the end of this year.
“The Chandler Corporate Industrial Park was a perfect location and fit for MTD and their employees,” says Greg Hopley, executive vice president with Colliers International in Arizona. “This new location provides direct access to major retail amenities, hotels, residential communities and a variety of freeways.”
Hopley represented the Landlord, DPMG Juniper LLC in the lease negotiations. MTD was represented by James Harper of Cushman & Wakefield.
“We are excited to have MTD join our growing community here in Chandler,” said Chandler Mayor Kevin Hartke. “This leading national company will provide high quality jobs and joins many other outstanding corporations who have selected Chandler as ideal for their business.”
Chandler is rapidly expanding their commercial core and home to other large companies like: Intel, Wells Fargo, PayPal, Northrup Grumman, Microchip Technology and NXP Semiconductors, to name a few.
