As anticipated, housing activity in November hit a seasonal, fourth-quarter slowdown, according to the Tucson Association of REALTORS® Multiple Listing Service of Southern Arizona (MLSSAZ). Despite the declines in monthly action however, almost all housing-market indicators are higher year-over-year.
In November, closed sales dropped 23.5% to 909 units compared to 1,188 sales in October. Year-to-date however, sales are 10% higher at 13,313 homes. Selling prices dipped slightly during the month but are still higher than in November 2014. The Median Sales Price is now $169,000, a 2.4% increase year-over year. The Average Sales Price of $209,485 is now 1.3% more than a year ago.
