PIMA COUNTY – Pima County Development Services continues to innovate and find ways to streamline the development permitting process and make it more seamless and user friendly.

The Department has launched a Building Inspection Tracking website that allows customers to easily determine when their building inspection will occur.

The new website shows customers where they place in the daily inspection lineup and at what time the inspector will arrive to conduct their inspection. The new site, located here, works in conjunction with Development Services’ award-winning Auto Routing system to maximize efficiency.

Customers use an automated phone system to request an inspection. Once all inspections for the next day are received, inspection routes are generated. Customers will be able to see their estimated inspection time posted to the new site by 4:40 p.m. on the business the day the request is received.

Requests can be made up to three days in advance. Development Services also is working to have the new website send confirmation emails to customers to verify the inspection date and estimated time.

The Pima County Building Inspection Tracking website for all customer building inspection needs – remodeling, expansions and new construction.

Pima County Development Services has made numerous customer service improvements in recent years, including creating a remote inspection process and greatly reducing plan review and approval turnaround times.
