What can Arizona Learn from Utah? That's exactly what Tucson commercial real estate broker Michael Coretz will find out at an ITRA Global conference with businesses who have opened or expanded facilities in Utah.
Tucson commercial real estate broker, Michael Coretz will be meeting with aerospace, biotech and other companies to find out what these firms looked for when considering locating their operations to Utah.
Coretz, principal of Commercial Real Estate Group of Tucson/ITRA Global, will discuss government incentives and other issues with the firms during the annual fall General Conference put on by ITRA Global. The organization’s affiliate commercial realtors specialize in representing tenants and buyers of office, industrial and retail facilities.
The conference will be Oct. 10-12 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
“These firms chose to locate in Utah, which has gained a reputation for being business-friendly,” says Coretz. “I want to learn if any of Utah’s economic development incentives and practices can be brought to Arizona to improve its attractiveness to businesses.”
The conference, which focuses on professional development, will include panels on the site selection process, economic issues that affect business decisions on facility location and challenges to the commercial real estate industry.
Coretz will lead a brief discussion on marketing tactics. Locally, he has issued a number of Tucson economic development white papers that detail Southern Arizona’s advantages for businesses in the biotech and mining industries, as well as for Mexico and global trade.
