Tucson, Arizona — The Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter was recognized for excellence at the organization’s Midyear Governance Meetings in San Antonio, Texas, March 30–April 3. The annual CCIM Institute President's Cup Awards' ceremony took place on April 1, honoring CCIM chapters that have demonstrated the highest degree of skill, ingenuity, and innovation in promoting the membership benefits of the Institute at the local and regional levels throughout 2018.
The Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter was awarded First Place for Excellence in Tier II Chapters.
“Receiving this award was a great honor for the recognition by the Institute for all of the hard work by so many local volunteers on our Board and Committees,” said the immediate Past President Craig Finfrock, CCIM. In addition to Finfrock, the current Board is made up of 2019 Chapter President Gary Andros, CCIM, Vice President James T. Lavery, CCIM, and Treasurer James Bradley, CCIM.
The Southern Arizona Chapter of CCIM created the Rookies and Rock Stars Mentor/Mentee program to provide guidance and scholarships to young professionals for CCIM courses sponsored by the Chapter. This program has been well received by the Institute and is being replicated at other chapters. The Southern Arizona Commercial Real Estate Forecast Competition had its 27th annual event this past February, making it one of the Institute's largest running commercial real estate forecasts in the country.
