Tucson, ARIZONA, March 24, 2023 – The Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter, is offering CI 101, Financial Analysis for Commercial Investment Real Estate, a course to help real estate professionals make informed investment decisions this June. And in order to help those who are starting their journey to earn their CCIM Designation, the Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter is offering the first 10 chapter members to register for the CI 101 before April 7th a $250 Scholarship. The course will be held on June 6-9, 2023 at Realty Executives Tucson Training Center, 6444 East Tanque Verde Road, Tucson, AZ 85715. The course begins at 8:30 a.m. each day and ends at 5:00 p.m, Soozie Jones Walker, CCIM, will be the instructor.

The CI 101 course teaches how to make informed investment decisions using the CCIM Cash Flow Model; measure the impact of federal taxation and federal leverage on the cash flow from the acquisition, ownership, and disposition phases of real estate investment. It also utilizes real estate analysis tools to quantify investment return. CI 101 is a bedrock class for real estate practitioners at a time when risk mitigation, pricing, and cycle assurance have become critical to investors. CI 101 introduces the CCIM Cash Flow Model, a tool for ensuring investment decisions are based on wise financial fundamentals.

During the course, participants will learn to use key financial concepts such as internal rate of return (IRR), new present value (NPV), cap rate, capital accumulation, and annual growth rate of capital to compare different types of commercial real estate investments.

For their regular monthly meeting Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter has invited Doug Greenland, General Manager of Cortaro Marana Irrigation District (CMID), John Kmiec of Tucson Water and Wallace Wilson, Water Resources Manager of Metro Water District to talk about water. April’s monthly meeting ‘Drinking Whisky - Talking Water’ is on April 11th, from 11:30am - 1:00pm, at the Doubletree by Hilton Reid Park, Bonsai Room, 445 S Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85711. Every Month, directly after the lunch meeting, the Southern Arizona CCIM Chapter hosts a Department of Real Estate Credit Class from 1:30pm - 4:30:pm. April’s class is Fair Housing and the Arizona Licensee (Category: Fair Housing), students will learn the specifics of federal and state housing laws.
