TUCSON, Ariz.  – The Sundt Foundation awarded a total of $41,900 in grants to 20 Tucson-area nonprofits during its third-quarter disbursements.

To be able to award over $40,000 in funds to local Southern Arizona charities hits at the core of our company’s purpose,” said Randy Rusing, Sundt Foundation President. “Being able to live that purpose is very important for our employee-owners.”

Third-quarter grants include:

$3,000 Grant Recipient

  • Outdoor Adventures for Wounded Veterans, Inc.

$2,500 Grant Recipients

  • Benson Area Food Bank
  • American Cancer Society
  • The Shyann Kindness ProjectHealing Arizona Veterans
  • American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. Tucson Chapter
  • Military Assistance Mission
  • Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Southern Arizona

$2,000 Grant Recipients

  •  The Child Language Center, Inc.
  •  YMCA of Southern Arizona
  • Literacy Connects
  • Big Brothers Big Sisters of Southern Arizona, Inc.
  • St. Luke’s Home
  • Blair Charity Group
  • Project Linus Tucson

$1,500 Grant Recipients

  • Diaper Bank of Southern Arizona
  • Angel Heart Pajama Project
  • Turn Your Life Around
  • The Christ Child Society of Tucson

$1,400 Grant Recipients

  • Izi Azi Foundation

The Sundt Foundation awards grants each quarter to area charities that support disadvantaged children and families. Nonprofits are selected through an application process and reviewed by a committee of Sundt employee-owners.

Sundt’s purpose is to build environments where its clients, employee-owners and communities prosper. The Sundt Foundation was established in 1999 as a way for employee-owners to give back to the communities in which they live and work. The organization is funded primarily by contributions from Sundt employees, which are matched by the company. To date, the Foundation has awarded more than $9.8 million in donations.
