Prescott, Ariz. –Talking Rock, only 30 minutes from downtown Prescott, is pleased to offer year-round golf in the high country of Northern Arizona. With Prescott’s mild four seasons, Talking Rock was designed to provide a top-level golf experience even in December, January and February. Occasionally the course gets a light dusting of snow, but within a day, the snow will melt, and the Championship 18-hole Jay Morrish-designed course reopens.
Silent Moon Park Putting Course
In Spring 2019, additional enhancements are being made to Talking Rock’s game. Talking Rock will open Silent Moon Park, a new nine-hole putting and chipping area.
Designed with today’s sometimes casual golfer in mind, Silent Moon Park allows all abilities and ages to gather together, enjoy an adult beverage and Prescott’s amazing weather.
“Silent Moon Park will be perfect for somebody that wants to take a cocktail in the evening, they can be in flip flops and shorts, and go practice their game and not take themselves too seriously,” shared Talking Rock Developer, Peter Burger, Managing Partner and Founder of Symmetry Companies.
Designed to be both challenging and fun, the 9-holes have A-4 bentgrass and varied undulation, similar to the finest putting greens in the nation.
Silent Moon Park is over three acres in size, with a ramada, BBQ and restrooms in the center, designed to host parties, events and other gatherings in Prescott’s mild climate. Members will also enjoy Silent Moon Park’s half-mile trail, perfect for evening walks with the dog.
New Practice Facility and Driving Range
This fall, Talking Rock opened a new practice facility and double-sided driving range on the south end of the course. Members and their guests have loved the fairway bunker for chipping, different elevations, and wide-open views of the surrounding mountains.
No matter what level your game, Talking Rock’s 18-hole Championship course lets you golf at your own pace amidst the high chaparral, spectacular mountain views and seasonal temperatures just right for year-round play. Fair, challenging, and rewarding, it is no wonder this course has earned numerous accolades, including ranking first of Arizona’s Best Courses by Golf Digest Magazine.
“Symmetry is committed to inspiring a higher standard of living while managing growth at exclusive luxury communities,” Burger said. “We are dedicated to developing stunning, livable and luxurious personal retreats for our customers.”
The community is only 30 minutes from downtown Prescott–including restaurants, museums, state-of-the-art medical facilities and Yavapai College. Within minutes residents are near lakes, fishing, horseback riding, shopping, theater and more. Prescott is a historic town with rustic roots, an inviting place that provides a variety of activities for Talking Rock members.
