TUCSON, AZ – CropTrak, a mobile farm app developer based in Tucson, has relocated its headquarters from N. Campbell Ave. to 5055 East Broadway Suite C-207 in Tucson. Bob Davis of Tango Commercial Real Estate assisted CropTrak in finding the space and negotiating the sublease agreement.
CropTrak president and co-founder Aaron Hutchinson said the 3,000-square-foot space accommodates his Tucson-based staff of eight with room for eight to 12 additional employees to be hired over the next 24 months.
Founded in 2009, CropTrak’s revenue growth is on track to double in 2016 according to Hutchinson. The customizable GIS app is already being used by large food producers, large growers, agronomists, soil labs, seed and chemical companies in over 50 countries.
Boasting the industry’s fastest and easiest data capture technology, “CropTrak helps farmers and food producers turn crop data into knowledge, decisions, and compliance paperwork,” Hutchinson explains.
“As entrepreneurs ourselves, we have a soft spot for Tucson start-ups and CropTrak is the latest in a long list of Tucson-based start-ups Tango has helped with their commercial real estate needs,” said Bob Davis co-founder of Tango with business partner Tom Hunt.
A native Tucsonan with more than 30 years of local commercial real estate experience, Davis has taken his passion for the local community and focused his career on building relationships that spur economic growth and preserve the uniqueness of Tucson and the Sonoran region.
“To old real estate guys like us, it’s not just about connecting companies with the right space, it’s about connecting them with the right people and mentoring them ultimately along a successful path. Other start-ups with whom we have enjoyed working include bioVeteria, Borderlands Brewing, Calimmune, Cancer Prevention Pharmaceuticals, LawLytics, Revolutionary Medical Devices, StageXchange, SmartThings, Metropia, Merchant’s Garden, nMode, Picmonic, Rbar, Teleost, 2Shoes and InHouse Marketing, to name a few,” said Davis.
“Everyone talks about having business mentors and incubators to help their business,” Hutchinson said. “Not many think how having a real estate mentor can help with office space acquisition, one of the most expensive business decisions for startups and small businesses. Bob and the Tango team went above and beyond to make sure we understood what we were buying, that it meets our unique requirements, and that we paid a fair price, so CropTrak got the right space and our business can continue to grow and use capital smartly.”
