Memorial services for Donald L. Baker & Dawn Elizabeth Hunter will be held at the Jewish Community Center (JCC) in Tucson, AZ, this Friday, January 22, 2016 at 10 am.

The JCC is located at 3800 E. River Rd., Tucson, AZ 85718.

Don Baker, 59, the principal of local real estate firm, Larsen Baker, LLC, and Dawn Hunter, 55, were tragically killed Monday morning when their two engine jet went down in Cedar Fort, Utah, while they were heading home to Tucson from a conference.

Baker, who has had a pilot's license since 2008, had filed a flight plan to leave Salt Lake City International Airport. However according to reports, the plane is believed to have suffered mechanical problems, and they tried to turn back. Witnesses say they heard a large boom and then saw flames coming from the engine as the 1999 Cessna Citation 525 plummeted to the ground.

Baker was a leading community figure in the Tucson Hebrew Academy and on the board of directors of the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona.

The family asks in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Jewish Federation of Southern Arizona or Tucson Hebrew Academy in honor of Don Baker and/or to the Humane Society of Southern Arizona in honor of Dawn Hunter.

In an effort to share this information to the grieving community, where they will be so very much missed, the family asks to please forward it to anyone who may like to attend Friday's services.
