The Tucson REALTORS ® Charitable Foundation (TRCF) has awarded $5,000 in grants to four local non-profit organizations through its quarterly distribution program.
The funds and intended use were issued to:
• Tucson Aztecs Soccer Club ($2,000) to help pay for its City of Tucson park lighting fees and registration fees for the 2014-15 season.
• Education Enrichment Foundation ($1,000) for its Shoe Shopping Party that provides free shoes and socks to TUSD students living in poverty.
• Family Housing Resources ($1,000) for its Low-Income Homebuyer Education and Counseling Program that assists some 1,200 families annually.
• Interfaith Community Services ($1,000) for its job-related emergency financial assistance program that helps residents find and keep a living-wage job.
Since late 2011, the Foundation has distributed some $53,000, according to TRCF Executive Director Philip Tedesco, who also serves as CEO of the Tucson Association of REALTORS ®. Each quarter, TRCF distributes $5,000.
