PIMA COUNTY, (Feb. 28, 2025) - Tucson’s companion animals will take to the streets for the 4th annual Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade and Friends of PACC Festival Sunday, March 2. In addition to hundreds of animals of all sizes and shapes, including dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, pocket pets, and farm pets, the Tucson Subaru Pets of Pima Parade will showcase bands, floats, entertainers, costumed characters, cool vehicles, and other entertainment. One of Tucson’s most beloved events, the Pets of Pima Parade is produced by Friends of Pima Animal Care Center to raise awareness and financial support for lifesaving programs at Pima Animal Care Center.
The event begins at 10 a.m. and takes place along N. 6th Avenue between Speedway Boulevard and E. 7th Street. A complete parade map is available online. Tickets are still available to the VIP Viewing Party at CORBETT’S for those hoping to watch from the best location, but spectators are welcome throughout the parade route.
There is still time to register to walk in the parade with companion animals or join Team Kenzo in honor of Parade Grand Marshal and slain Pima County Sheriff K9 Kenzo. Visit petsofpimaparade.com for details.
The Friends of PACC Festival follows the Parade along 7th Street, featuring live entertainment, HSL Properties Adoption Extravaganza, 60+ vendors, and activities for people and pets alike, including Mystic Creature Art Invitational and flash tattoos by Spark Project Collective. The Festival runs until 2 p.m.
FOX11 and CW18 will be televising this year’s parade, bringing the pageantry into homes across the community. Scheduled broadcast times are Sunday, March 9, at 8:30 a.m. on FOX11 and at noon on CW18, as well as March 16 at 9 a.m. on FOX11 and at noon on CW18.
The Pets of Pima Parade is the signature fundraising event supporting life-saving programs at Pima Animal Care Center. There are several ways to help support vulnerable animals, including registering to walk in the parade, donating to one of the participating teams, donating to have a pet photo displayed on Arlo’s Memorial Float, or purchasing 50/50 raffle tickets online or at the event.
Pima Animal Care Center will have adjusted hours, from noon to 5 p.m., on March 2 to allow staff and volunteers to participate in the parade.
