Tucson, Arizona – Tucson Spectrum, a 1.1-million-square-foot regional power center at the southwest corner of I-19 and Irvington Road, had two new businesses open this month in the highly-successful center. CBRE’s Nancy McClure and Michael Laatsch negotiated the transactions for the landlord, DDR Corp.
Foot Locker Retail, Inc. opened a 5,000-square-foot Foot Locker store at 1221 W. Irvington Road, #115, located next to Target and Food City.
“This is a great addition to the already strong line-up of apparel retailers, bringing another national brand to the center,” said Nancy McClure, first vice president with CBRE.
Additionally, Sonora’s Famous Hot Dog, affiliate operation to Ohio-based Tequila’s Mexican Bar & Grill, has opened a 4,400-square-foot full-service restaurant with lounge at 5271 S. Calle Santa Cruz, next to Harkin’s Theatres.
“Having this locally-run, sit-down Mexican restaurant augment a stellar list of highly-successful restaurants at this center is going to appeal to the trade area and all who come to shop and dine,” commented Rachel Lamm, property manager of DDR Corp. Lamm added, “The interplay between its positioning next to one of Arizona’s most successful Harkin’s Theatres will add to the experience of the customer from one business to another.”
The ownership of the center, DDR (ddr.com // NYSE: DDR), is based in Ohio. The company currently owns and manages 298 retail properties, representing 100 million square feet in the continental United States and Puerto Rico.
