TUCSON, ARIZONA - Velocity Retail Group, LLC announces that Tucson-based Bookmans Entertainment Exchange has leased 20,138 square feet, at Northmall Centre, 4881 N. Stone Ave., Tucson, Arizona 85704, located at the southwest corner of River Road and Stone Ave.

Brian Harpel Velocity Retail represented Bookmans Entertainment Exchange in the lease. The new location is scheduled to open fall of 2022.

Since 1976, Bookmans has become the largest used book retailer in Arizona. At the time, Bookmans started with selling used books. Now, Bookmans sells CDs, vinyl records, games, musical instruments and so much more.  Headquartered in Tucson, Bookmans has 6 locations across the state in Tucson, Mesa, Phoenix, and Flagstaff.

To this day, Bookmans continues to evolve. Shelves are now peppered with new bestsellers, new games, new DVDs. “People usually come to a store like ours because they aren’t sure what they want,” Oldfather shrugged. “If they decide they want a new book instead of a used one, we should be able to help them.”

This transaction is one of dozens of big box deals completed by Velocity Retail Group in the past year.  The firm continues to lead the retail market in big box leasing and sales and looks forward to continuing to serve its expanding retailers at the highest level.
