Retail brokerage specialist, John Leffler expands role as Associate Vice President
PHOENIX, (May 14, 2025) – Retail brokerage specialist Western Retail Advisors has promoted John Leffler to Associate Vice President. The promotion reinforces the Phoenix-based firm’s Southern California presence, where it provides full-service brokerage solutions for the retail and restaurant sectors.
Based in the firm’s Irvine, California office, Leffler will assume expanded responsibilities across the region, representing Western Retail Advisors landlord and tenant clients in their site selection, lease negotiations and strategic growth initiatives.

Leffler joined Western Retail Advisors in 2022 as a Senior Associate, bringing with him more than 15 years of experience as an award-winning residential real estate agent and broker at GateHouse Properties, as well as expertise as a co-owner of his own brokerage. Earlier in his career, he co-owned a retail mortgage bank with 220 employees and approximately $100 million in monthly production.
Key achievements at Western Retail Advisors include growing the footprints of both Jersey Mike’s Subs and Wingstop, securing 17 new locations for Jersey Mike’s between 2024 and 2025, and 46 new locations for Wingstop opening between 2024 and 2026, with more new Wingstop restaurants to come.
Leffler holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Management and Entrepreneurship from the University of Phoenix. He is a member of Realty Resources and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and an active volunteer with the California School of Education Foundation.
