Tucson, Arizona, (October 20, 2023) – The Tucson Metro Chamber is pleased to announce the onboarding of Zach Yentzer for the Vice President of Business Advocacy position. This position is focused on managing local business advocacy, workforce development initiatives, and strategic communications following the Chamber’s mission to champion an environment where businesses thrive and our community prospers.
Zach has served as the Executive Director of Tucson Young Professionals (TYP) for the past four years. He has increased TYP’s membership and financial resources ten times compared to when he accepted the position four years ago. Zach has fostered nearly 30 corporate partnerships, elevated the TYP brand, grown staff, and set the foundation for advocacy, philanthropy, and impact moving forward.
“I am grateful to step away from TYP in this position of strength, and I look forward to bringing that experience to the Tucson Metro Chamber,” stated Mr. Yentzer. “Tucson is facing new, "big city" challenges; more than ever, this moment calls for strong leadership and leaders who will be bold advocates and big problem-solvers. Michael's commitment to moving the Chamber in this direction drew me to join the team!”
“As the voice of business for our region, we look for experienced and committed individuals to lead our efforts to create a more economically viable region,” stated Michael Guymon, president & CEO of the Tucson Metro Chamber. “Zach knows how to grow value, is well versed in policies important to business and is a proven leader with a track record supporting his many accomplishments. Zach brings exceptional strength to an already strong team.”
The Chamber’s business advocacy work currently includes our Coalition Against Retail Theft, Tucson Restaurant Advisory Council, Public Policy Council, and Candidate Evaluation.
