TUCSON, AZ (May 28, 2024)—The newest Arizona Daiso store will be in Tucson. It will be at the Ventana Village Shopping Center, 6884 E. Sunrise Drive. Daiso is coming to Tucson and will bring its unique Japanese-inspired snacks, household items, beauty supplies, gifts, and more to the Ventana Village Shopping Center at Kolb and Sunrise in the Foothills.

First announced in Real Estate Daily News Leases March 11-15, 2024

The space was formerly a Tuesday Morning, a national chain store, that sold similar items.

There’s no exact opening date yet, but Daiso aims to open soon this summer.

Daiso was founded as a 100 yen store—which translates to about 75 cents—or the equivalent of a dollar store, but its U.S. locations sell items at a range of prices.

Arizona already has four Daiso stores, with a new one expected to open this summer.  Now, Daiso is expanding beyond metro Phoenix. Here are the Daiso stores open in Arizona:

  • Arcadia Fiesta, 3141 E. Indian School Road, Phoenix.
  • Mesa Main Marketplace, 1911 W. Main St., Mesa.
  • Sunburst Plaza, 4377 W. Bell Road, Glendale.
  • Chandler Ranch Plaza, 1860 W. Chandler Blvd., Chandler.

On the Daiso website, part of the mission statement reads: "The One Price makes it possible to buy more. The One Price allows you to give it a try. The One Price encourages casual purchases that lead to changes in everyday life. The One Price has infinite power to enrich our lives."

The company operates over 6,000 stores worldwide, 100+ of which are in the U.S. Dave Hammack, Principal and Retail Specialist with Cushman & Wakefield | PICOR, represented the landlord, and Steve Lenz with Frontera Development, LLC, represented the tenant.
