TUCSON, Ariz. (April 26, 2024) – Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) Tucson smashed fundraising records at last month's annual golf tournament, raising over $25,000. This marks the highest amount ever raised by the organization at this event.
The chapter's main fundraiser, the tournament, raises funds directly for scholarships for continuing education opportunities. These scholarships allow members to participate in leadership and professional development courses.
"These programs are crucial for staying ahead of industry trends and developments," said Tina Dorsey, CREW Tucson Chapter Treasurer and 2024 Golf Tournament Chair. "They also provide a chance to connect with other CREW professionals nationwide."
For the second consecutive year at Skyline Country Club, the event, presented for the third time by Kustom Disaster Restoration, featured games, raffles, a buffet dinner, and a fun neon 90s-themed costume contest. It attracted a record-breaking 116 golfers and 20 sponsors.
Even with a rainstorm disrupting the event, attendees' enthusiasm persevered, leading to CREW Tucson's most successful fundraising tournament yet.
"Mother Nature couldn't even dampen our spirits," Dorsey joked.
