TUCSON, AZ (February 4, 2026) -- Local developer, Larsen Baker LLC, reported that Walmart has acquired its existing store at Tucson Place Shopping Center at First Avenue and Wetmore Road in Tucson. Walmart is currently expanding this location into a Super Walmart.

The $16,975,000 sale involved the building and the leased fee interest in 11.7 acres at Tucson Place. Walmart is expanding the store from 86,400 to 160,000 square feet, converting it to a Walmart Superstore. Larsen Baker will continue to own and manage the adjacent 140,000-square-foot shopping center. The sale closed January 28, 2026.
