Living Spaces

TUCSON, Arizona (October 29, 2026) — Living Spaces is planning a furniture showroom in the former Sears building at Tucson Mall, bringing a new retail use to approximately 184,467 square feet at 4570 N. Oracle Road in Tucson.

The city has issued a commercial building permits for the conversion of the existing two-level department store into a furniture showroom. Plans include façade improvements and interior upgrades. The permit application was submitted May 29, 2026.

Founded in 2003, Living Spaces is a privately held furniture and home furnishings retailer headquartered in La Mirada, California. Its offerings include living room, bedroom, dining room, home office and outdoor furniture, along with mattresses and home accessories. The company already operates Arizona stores in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Glendale and Gilbert.

Related development documents identify the project as “Living Spaces – Tucson Mall” and outline the addition of a concrete loading area to serve the store. Those records also connect the Living Spaces development to the former Sears building.

Planning records trace the proposed furniture store conversion to a November 2025 preliminary application, followed by another preliminary submission in February 2026 for improvements to the vacant Sears space.

The planned showroom would return a substantial vacant anchor building to active retail use and add a major home furnishings destination to Tucson Mall.

An opening date has not yet been confirmed. New York-based Spinoso Real Estate Group handles the leasing for the Tucson Mall.
