Presented by La Frontera's Tucson International Mariachi Conference
TUCSON, AZ (October 28, 2024) – La Frontera’s Tucson International Mariachi Conference proudly presents Mariachi Hour, a unique, family-friendly event celebrating the cultural vibrancy of mariachi music and folklórico dance. This lively gathering happens every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month, making it the only place in Tucson to enjoy live mariachi on a Thursday night. With free admission and a welcoming atmosphere for all ages, Mariachi Hour brings a festive, authentic experience to Tucson's Thursday evenings, starting November 14th.
“This is a beautiful event,” says TIMC board member Marybeth Zellon. “We are asking the Tucson community to be a supporting citizen of Mariachi and Folklorico.”
Event Highlights
- Live Performances by Local Mariachi and Ballet Folklórico Groups: Delight in a lineup of Tucson's best mariachi ensembles, delivering both traditional and contemporary tunes. Special evenings also feature Tucson’s skilled ballet folklórico groups, whose colorful, traditional dances add an exciting visual dimension to the celebration.
- Mouthwatering BBQ Menu: Brother John’s serves up Southern-style BBQ with a Southwestern twist, using regional chili peppers and Latin flavors. From slow-smoked meats to comfort dishes prepared fresh daily, the food here is as unforgettable as the music.
