Maverick, who was interviewed earlier this week by Real Estate Daily News, has advanced to the championship round. A mastiff with the presence of a gentle giant, Maverick has moved through the competition with the kind of steady charm that has made him stand out throughout the bracket. Described as handsome, calm, and sweet, Maverick is known for his beautiful markings, a giant grin, and a stoic yet lovable personality. Though he looks imposing, he is all soft heart underneath, bringing loyal leading-man energy with his bro Goose by his side.
Rudy brings a very different style to the finals. Once a stray and now a full-blown character, Rudy is described as the definition of younger-brother energy. The extra-fluffy “spritz” has a huge personality, keeps everyone laughing, and is never shy about talking back when he has something to say. With a love for squeaky toys and a talent for stealing the spotlight, Rudy has earned his place as one of the contest’s most entertaining finalists.
The Pooch Playoffs began with 16 dogs in a March Madness-style bracket that raises money for The Sanctuary Project, a rescue-focused nonprofit helping dogs in need. Voting is free, supporters may vote twice per round, and donations go directly to The Sanctuary Project.
Voting remains open until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 4, and the winner will be revealed live at the Cheers to the Champs celebration at Noble Hops in Oro Valley from 2 to 4 p.m.
