More than 20 local business owners and community members attended the event to share their experiences, discuss challenges and identify opportunities to strengthen the local business environment.
“One of our goals for the Small Business Commission is to get out into the communities we represent and hear directly from the businesses we serve,” said Valerie Pullara, Chair of the Pima County Small Business Commission and Executive Director of Sol Dog Lodge.
“The Vail Chamber was a wonderful partner for our first roundtable, and I was impressed by how openly business owners shared both what is working well and the challenges they face. There was a real willingness to be part of finding solutions, and that is exactly the kind of relationship we want to build between the Small Business Commission, Pima County and our local business community.”
The discussion also provided an opportunity for business owners to connect with one another and share ideas and potential solutions. Feedback gathered during the conversation will help inform the Small Business Commission’s ongoing work and recommendations as it continues advocating for the needs of small businesses throughout Pima County.
The Commission plans to hold another event in partnership with the Oro Valley Chamber in November.
