Scottsdale, Ariz. – Scottsdale Private Lending (SPL), a private real estate lending company owned by principals Phil Sollomi and Tom Graziano, have announced the addition of the company’s first loan production employee. Carl Osberg joins SPL as an associate, in which he will source and underwrite investment real estate financing opportunities.
“I am honored to be an SPL employee. From the moment of uncovering a new opportunity to ensuring an effective and efficient closing process, Phil and Tom are knowledgeable and they consistently deliver a great experience to borrowers and investors,” said Osberg. “I am eager to form new relationships within the community and assist in the growth of this company.”
Osberg has spent his 15-year career in commercial lending at financial institutions, where his responsibilities have included originating new lending relationships, underwriting credit facilities, overseeing the loan closing process, monitoring construction projects, and managing existing portfolios. Through this experience, Osberg understands the need for private lending in today’s real estate financing market.
“Helping borrowers achieve their real estate financing goals while delivering an unrivaled closing experience is what is most appealing to me about private lending,” said Osberg.
“I have spent quite a bit of time networking with Carl over the last two years, and really sense a fire and determination within him that will lend itself well to our niche as a private commercial lender,” said Sollomi. “Carl will open doors for SPL with his vast network, and with his experience, enthusiasm and integrity, he will be a great ambassador.” Sollomi says that this is an exciting time of expansion for SPL, and that they intend to hire more quality employees in the near future.
Osberg possesses an Arizona Mortgage Loan Originators License (MLO:0941363, NMLS 809230) and currently serves on the board of directors for Arizona's Turnaround Management Association. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business at Wake Forest University, and a Master of Business Administration at American University while working full-time for a community bank. He is married with two boys, ages two and five, and enjoys spending time with them and golfing in his free time.
