Tucson Gains Commercial Real Estate Firm
Longtime friends and business associates, Bob Davis and Tom Hunt, have joined forces to form Tango Commercial Real Estate, along with associates Alec Gee and Nicolas Chavira.
Sharing office space with other startup companies at 6363 N. Swan Rd, Suite 200, Tango works primarily at the behest of tenants and buyers to research and negotiate the most suitable office and industrial space for each client.
“A traditional brokerage is interested in filling a particular building. At Tango we enjoy finding the buildings that best match our clients’ needs,” Davis said. “It’s not necessarily about the best deal. It’s about discovering where our clients will feel the most content and productive.”

As Davis explains, the Tango team thoroughly researches a client’s options then neutrally presents a spreadsheet of possibilities with weighted variables including location, condition, price, terms and even non tangibles like personalities.
“Our clients ultimately make the choice. They are in total control,” Davis said.
Having worked for many name brand brokers during their combined 50 years in commercial real estate in Tucson, Tango’s business partners agree they can give better service with fewer headaches to their clients under their new business model.
Davis and Hunt are enjoying their new, consultative role.
“Tucson is a unique, boutique market and one that we know very well. We are connectors who spend a lot of time networking with business owners to improve Tucson’s business climate and economy. We work with entrepreneurs every day so we decided to become entrepreneurs ourselves,” said Hunt.
“I’ve never had this much fun,” admitted Davis.
By their jocular moods, it’s easy to see that Davis and Hunt get a kick out of helping Tucson entrepreneurs expand their businesses, without the albatross of corporate sales quotas hanging around their necks. In addition to representing entrepreneurs in acquiring space, the Tango team represents some carefully selected properties for leasing and sales representation. As Hunt explains, “Tango will represent buildings that are owned by principals with entrepreneurial mindsets.” This would include buildings like 6363 North Swan and Top of Swan, both of which are located on Swan Rd just south of the Skyline Country Club gatehouse.
As for the name “Tango,” it’s more than catchy. Hunt says it describes a company that’s nimble and quick on its feet.
“Tango is all about creating a beautiful dance between Tucson area landlords and end users,” Davis added. “Whether they are startups or Fortune 500 companies, we aim to be our clients’ partners in success.”
