PHOENIX, Ariz. — Governor Doug Ducey today released the following statement in honor of Veterans Day and the men and women who have served this nation in uniform:
“Today, Arizona gives thanks to those who have fought to secure and defend the freedoms Americans hold dear — our nation’s veterans.
“Whether here at home or half a world away — those who served and those who are actively serving — our veterans are the strongest ambassador of American ideals to the rest of the world.
“Our country has no greater example of duty, honor, sacrifice, service, discipline and integrity than these brave men and women — and we will remain forever thankful for all their service.
“This Veterans Day, I encourage every Arizonan to pause and reflect on the contributions of every American patriot who has worn the uniform and to give thanks for the incredible blessing they have been to our great nation.
“May God bless our Veterans and the United States of America.”
