PHOENIX, ARIZONA – NAI Horizon represented the landlord, ViaWest Group, in a long-term lease for a national package delivery firm at Airport48 Industrial, a Class A industrial building expected to deliver in 1Q 2023.

NAI Horizon Executive Managing Director Isy Sonabend and Associate Drew Eisen represented VWP 48th Street Owner, LLC (ViaWest Group), in the long-term lease worth $4.797 million. Expeditors International of Washington, Inc., will occupy 39,396 SF of the turnkey building, which will total 146,526 SF upon completion.

Airport48, 3232 S. 48th St., in Phoenix,  is under construction on 10 acres of industrial-zoned land. The state-of-the-art warehouse is located on one of the last remaining infill land sites in Central Phoenix, just minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

“This is the third long-term tenant the NAI Horizon team has secured for the landlord at Airport48,”  Sonabend said. “Previously, we were proud to welcome SouthernCarlson as the first tenant at Airport48, followed quickly by Monterrey Tile Company. This location provides quick access to the entire Phoenix freeway grid, as well as direct entrance to Sky Harbor International Airport, an amenity crucial to our tenants. The signing of this third lease now makes Airport48 100  percent leased.”

The central location of Airport48 and its proximity to the freeway system through a full diamond interchange will provide logistics-based companies convenient access to all points in the Metro Phoenix market. It will also provide same-day drive times to key Western markets such as Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, and Albuquerque, N.M.

Founded in 1979, Expeditors International specializes in supply chain solutions, transportation, customs and compliance, and warehousing and distribution. Its 2021 revenue was $16.5 billion.

Andrew Mager with Fischer & Company, and Tom Louer with Lee & Associates Arizona represented Expeditors International of Washington, which is headquartered in Seattle.
