Volunteers of all ages welcome to PACC's Day of Service
PIMA COUNTY – Pima Animal Care Center is holding a day of service in honor of the late Martin Luther King Jr. from 10 until 11:30 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 21 at the shelter, 4000 N. Silverbell Rd.
The shelter invites members of the public to help with some important tasks around PACC. Volunteers will be able to help put together shelter beds for the homeless pets, organize the donation pantry, make toys for pets, clean the shelter, and more.
People can sign up through this link. It will be posted on the web page and Facebook page. There are a limited number of sign-ups per spot, but volunteers must register in order to help that day. Children must have a parent or guardian with them at all times.
The shelter will be open on Martin Luther King Jr. Day from noon to 5 p.m. for adoptions only.
Anyone interested in adopting a pet can stop by the shelter, or visit PACC’s website. The adoption price covers a microchip, spay or neuter surgery, and up-to-date vaccinations. For dogs, there is an additional $19 licensing fee.
