Surprise, AZ  (Feb. 28, 2025)– PREMIER Design + Build Group is proud to announce the successful completion of four speculative industrial buildings in Arizona’s Skyway Business Park, marking the national general contractor’s inaugural project in the state. This venture was made possible through a strategic partnership with Echo Real Estate Capital, aimed at expanding their rapidly growing portfolio in the region.

PREMIER’s experienced team brings a wealth of knowledge from its extensive projects nationwide. Leveraging their robust track record with Echo, PREMIER delivered essential smaller, Class-A industrial buildings to meet the rising demand in Phoenix’s West Valley submarket, specifically within the Northern Parkway Industrial Corridor.

Recognizing the increasing need for smaller warehouses and office facilities, Echo successfully launched the Echo Park @ P132 project, which encompasses four buildings totaling 182,870 square feet. Located at the intersection of Peoria Avenue and 132nd Avenue in Surprise, Ariz., the new structures range in size from 43,000 to 48,000 square feet.

Building in Arizona posed unique challenges, particularly in managing the desert climate and soil conditions. The Echo Park @ P132 site required over-excavation to establish proper footings for each building, necessitating the importation, filling, and compaction of suitable soil before construction could commence.

The project team was tasked with navigating extreme weather conditions, with more than 100 consecutive days experiencing temperatures exceeding 100 degrees, peaking at 119 degrees. Construction was strategically scheduled for early morning hours to ensure safety during these challenging conditions, with crews wearing long-sleeve shirts, wide-brimmed hats, and face coverings for protection against sun exposure. Gloves were mandatory when handling materials to prevent burns, and ample supplies of water and sports drinks were provided to keep team members hydrated.

“As the developer, I think the process was run very smoothly and professionally, exceeding expectations,” says Oliver Plotkin, Principal at Echo Real Estate Capital. Plotkin attributes PREMIER with “speed of execution, the ability to mobilize a talented team to a new market, deliver a fantastic end product, and navigate challenging climate conditions.”

The Echo Park @ P132 project underscores PREMIER Design + Build Group's commitment to delivering high-quality industrial spaces, even in challenging conditions. Our collaboration with Echo Real Estate Capital and proactive engagement with regulatory bodies shows our dedication to meeting client needs while adhering to strict compliance standards. As we continue to expand our presence in Arizona, we remain focused on providing innovative solutions that support the growth and development of local industries.
